I dont be a person that celebrate the
national holidays. For me, independence of Chile is a invention, and personally
I never liked Chilean flag nor military parade. But in September, I have a
tradition of go to Linares, a little town located in a seventh region of Chile.
In this town we were born my mother, my father, me and almost all my family. For
this reason, with my mom, we love go to Linares in September, because is a only
place in that we feel really good.
In 2013 I had a best travel to Linares in
national holidays, because my family prepared a big party for the 18th. My
uncle leased a house fit for use to social events, and we arrived here in the
morning. In this place ate empanadas and for lunch we made roast meat with a
lot of salads.
All day long we were dancing, singing,
played a musical chair and we drank many terremotos made for my aunts jaja that
was a first year that we drank terremoto with my family of Linares, but from there
on out this drink were transformed in traditional.
I remember of this year, that even there
were presents for guests. It made a girlfriend of my cousin, and it were a
chupalla and poncho in miniature, with a sticker that it said: “Encuentro Dieciochero, Navarrete 2013”.
